Gilman-McCain Scholarship for Dependents of Active Duty Military

The Gilman-McCain Scholarship is a congressionally funded initiative of the US Department of State named after the late senator John S. McCain from Arizona. It provides awards of $5,000 for child dependents of active duty service members to study or intern abroad on credit-bearing programs. Applicants must be US Citizens, an undergrad in good standing at an accredited institution of higher education in the US (two-year and four-year institutions); a dependent child of an active duty military member(s) during the time of application, a recipient of any type of Title IV federal financial aid during the time of application, and in the process of applying to, or accepted to, a credit-bearing study abroad or internship program, or a virtual international program. Virtual programs and internships will be eligible until Summer 2022.
